I'm a product designer fascinated with human processes. I love learning about people - deeply understanding what they want, how they think, and then providing them with experiences that make their lives better, easier, and happier.
No matter the problem, no matter the industry, it can be solved. All that's needed is a clear picture of the problem, a clear strategy, and clear communication - and that's exactly what I provide my teams, no matter how ambiguous the problems may seem. I've brought that to B2B companies for most of my career across finance and autonomous cars, and more recently B2C in my most recent start-up.
In all of my roles, I've been one of the first designers on a team or in an organization. Not only do I lead them towards better outcomes, I make sure to teach and bring everyone along with me. I communicate and collaborate closely with leadership and users, effectively lead contributors and developers within my team, and make sure everyone is comfortably on the same page.
In university, I started in computer science at Carnegie Mellon. But after the first 3 years at one of the most challenging computer science schools in the world, I found I was more fascinated with debugging human processes than code. Itβs been many years since my initial dive into HCI and design back in 2014, and I haven't once looked back.
