SHRP Terms of Service

Last updated: 30 September 2026.

Beta notice. SHRP is beta software, open to the public. Features and these terms may change as it develops.

1. Beta status and "as is"

SHRP is pre-release beta software provided free of charge for testing and evaluation. It is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Features may change, break, or disappear; data may be lost. SHRP is a wellbeing and self-tracking aid: it is not medical, psychological, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or emergency services.

2. Who can use SHRP (eligibility)

You must be 18 or older and legally able to agree to these terms.

3. Your account

You can browse the public parts of SHRP without an account. To use social features, you claim a username: this creates an account with no name, email, or phone required during the beta. When you claim a username, you agree to these Terms by tapping I agree, and we record which version you agreed to and when. Claiming a username makes your public-tier data visible to everyone, including non-users, unless you choose Friends Only in Settings (see the Privacy Policy, section 4). You're responsible for what happens under your account on your device.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Messaging is preset-only: you can only send messages we've pre-written; there is no free-text messaging between users. This is a deliberate safety design.

Zero tolerance. SHRP does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. If a username, display name, group name, or avatar breaks these rules, or someone uses SHRP to abuse others, we remove the content and remove the account that posted it. Usernames, display names, and group names pass an automated word filter, and profile images pass an automated image check, before they are saved; anything that fails is not saved. You can report a user's username, display name, or profile image, or block them, by tapping their name at the top of their profile. A block hides each of you from the other in the app, removes any follows between you, and stops either of you following or messaging the other. You can unblock someone in Settings → Account & Discovery → Your block list; unblocking does not restore follows.

5. The follow / visibility grant

When you follow another user, you grant that user access to your relationship-gated data (currently your real name, if set). If your sharing is set to Friends Only, following someone also lets them see your public-tier data, and so does being in a group with them. Following is one-way and needs no approval. Following someone is you choosing to share more of yourself with them; it does not give you access to their private data. See the Privacy Policy, section 4.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of what you submit (your display name, avatar, feedback). By submitting it, you grant Schenker Design a limited license to store, display, and process it only as needed to operate SHRP (for example, showing your avatar in feeds, or reading your feedback to improve the app). Feedback you submit may be used to improve SHRP; we treat it as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

SHRP, its design, code, medal system, and content are owned by Luke J. Schenker / Schenker Design. These terms don't give you any rights in them except to use the app as intended during the beta.

8. Termination

You can stop using SHRP any time and delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or end your access at any time, for any reason, given the beta nature of the app, including removing content that violates these terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Schenker Design will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any lost data, arising from your use of this free beta software. Because SHRP is provided free and as-is, the developer's total liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law (and nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections you have under your local law).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, except where your local jurisdiction gives you mandatory rights that can't be waived.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SHRP develops. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
